I want to buy an amplifier for my electric guitar. But i don't know anything. I want to know about AC charger/adapter/power, headphone jack, etc. So I can get one and love it :]
ANSWER: You need to decide how much you can spend, how many effects you want, like reverb, distortion, etc. Most basic amps, like the one we suggest below, have at least volume/treble and reverb for starter effects. The amps with more effects cost more money, so you may want to start out with an amp with a couple effects and see how you like it. We shopped around for you and have made our suggestion below.
All amps come with the power cord/adapter. Usually the headphones are separate and you have to get them yourself. A good start would probably be a 40 to 100 watt amp that you could experiment with. Here is our recommendation - the Roland Cube. The Power Squeezer circuit delivers maximum sustain at lower volumes. A mini-jack aux in lets you play along with MP3s and CDs. Incredible Cube sound with Roland's COSM amp models: Acoustic, Overdrive, Distortion, Metal, Metal Stack, and Tube Drive. CD input, headphone/recording output, and footswitch jack. Check it out: $329 retail here sells for $175! If you don't like this one browse around the site for something more to your liking. Have fun!
