E Chords: Guitar Chord Charts
Here is a guitar chord chart for the E chords, plus some more specific charts on how to play the E7 chord below. The E major chord is played almost the same, with the addition of the 3rd fret played on the 4th string. Note the fingering of these chords: the knuckles of the playing hand are perpendicular to the fingerboard. Make sure each note sounds clear and sharp. If you are a dull or dead sound from any one of the strings then you are not playing that string properly. Check your finger position and pressure. Practice until you get a clear tone on all strings in the chord.
